1. The measurement principle should be laser diffraction and should comply with the guidelines provided by ISO 13320:2009

The system must allow the user to utilize Fraunhofer & Mie Theory for calculation of the particle size distribution , The equipment should be capable of measuring particle size distribution of a wide range of materials such as powders of ceramics, metals and other inorganic powders, polymers and organic particles, ores, pigments and dyes, emulsions, suspensions, Slurries etc.

6. The system should have an incandescent tungsten halogen lamp and three sets of horizontally- and vertically-polarized filters to provide polarized monochromatic-light at three different wavelengths; 475 nm (blue), 613 nm (orange), and 900 nm (near-infrared, invisible) for sub-micron particle size analysis

7. Power of light source should be minimum 5mW or more

8. The angle of measurement should be from 0 to 135 degree

11. The system must be equipped with auto docking facility for easy changing between dry and wet modules.

13. The sonication system must be provided along with system & the sonication parameters can be varied as per the user requirements.

14. The system must be repeatability upto +/- 1 %

15. Measurement time less than 60 secs

16. The system should be capable of operating in temperature range of 10 to 40 degree C

17. The system should be capable of working in the humidity range of 0- 90% without condensation.

18. The system must be connected to PC via TCP/IP networking & the results obtained should be displayed on PC

19. The software installed on PC must display the data generated and give reports for under size/oversize histograms density distribution, cumulative distribution, percentage, logarithmic, normal distribution.

20. The software should be 21 CFR part 11 compliant.

21. The particle size analyzer instrument must be supplied along with PC and printer required for running the system
