Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG)

A widely used equipment in the pharmaceutical industry, Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG) is mainly used for mixing pharmaceutical ingredients and converting them into granules before compression.

Components:
The device makes use of impellers and choppers which are responsible for wet granulation.

Impellers:
Impellers are the set of two long blades and short blades fixed at the bottom of the dome shaped stainless steel Granulator. While the small blades are used to lift the material, long blades are responsible for mixing it all well. The wet mass is then broke down into small pieces and granules by impellers.

Chopper:
Choppers are the small fine blades which are run at high speed RPM to convert wet mass into uniform size granules. The speed of the chopper affects the size of the granules.

Discharge Port:
Discharge Port is located at the bottom of the granular. Once the wet mass is converted into fine granules, they are collected into a container through discharge port which is controlled by compressed air regulated cylinder.

Mounting:
The whole assembly is mounted on a stainless steel platform provided with staircase and railings. The entire body is covered from the sides with suitable stainless steel covers.

Safety Features:
Locking arrangement for motor to eliminate accidently starting with open lid.
Enclosed moving parts.
